I provide independent, decision-specific Mental Capacity Assessments in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Support can include assessing what is required, arranging or coordinating deep cleaning and decluttering services, working alongside the individual at their own pace, and helping to put longer-term support in place to maintain a safe and manageable home.

Where appropriate, I can also liaise with families, care providers, housing services and other professionals to ensure the support is person-centred, respectful and sustainable..

I provide independent advice and practical support to individuals and families navigating adult social care. This can include guidance around Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA), Direct Payments, care and support options, and accessing appropriate services.

I can advocate on your behalf with local authorities and other professionals, attend meetings where required, and prepare independent social work assessments and professional reports to clearly evidence an individual’s care and support needs.

Reports can be used to support requests for Care Act assessments, increased care packages, Direct Payments, reviews of existing support, community-based services or other appropriate provision.
